Re: Exiles Thread.

Turns we paid £600 a week, Drinan paid for Cooper & Thompson went on 2 loanees after our target turned us down, so what budget? In RW's words Cooper was already here so his wage already factored in before Drinan left. If we've paid a senior pro's wage for two kids with 0 league experience quest...

Re: Annoucement at 10.00AM on Monday

What a thoroughly damp squib, with the hype expected it to at least be RW signing a new contract or that we have identified where the new ground is going to be and have got permission to build and have mega investors on board .

Re: Club statement: something about finding another rich investor

As has already been said, they have talked about it for a good while, it’s time to walk the walk instead of talk the talk. What does this mean? It means that they have talked previously about further investment to enable us to progress further with a view to the Championship and the question of a l...

Re: Club statement: something about finding another rich investor

Finały recognition that the club need massive investment to stand a chance of a sustainable chance of survival once we get promoted to Championship football.

Yes we can still make the play offs, can start by sending Piggott to Boco Island and give the young loanees a chance.

Re: Orient Outlook Travis Q&A

Is it interesting? If any of them had gone on to succeed elsewhere, I imagine the criticism would be 'well it they could do it at x what was wrong at Orient?!' failing as a manager at league 2 and non conference is normally your last chance to make it, and TBF, Embleton and Fletcher were not good a...

Re: RW seriously pi55ed off

Interesting use of the word "sustainable". Does "sustaining" a place in the Championship mean that "someone" will have to pour multi - £Ms in year after year ? and if so, what's "sustainable" about that? Most clubs in the Championship operate at a lost, so to...

Re: RW seriously pi55ed off

We’re 1 player away from a play off push - a player that was in budget but we failed to sign. Why are people saying we need massive new investment to make the Championship? It’s disrespectful to Richie and this group of players. It’s not to make the Championship, it’s for it to be sustainable once ...

Re: RW seriously pi55ed off

£2 million ain't going to have much impact - Preston averaged 15,000 last season and lost £15million. That just proves that nothing short of massive new investment will result in our club never being a sustainable Championship club, the end. Actually you are right - if we overstretch our finances i...

Re: RW seriously pi55ed off

If the owners have stated that cannot afford the deficit in the Championship how will waiting patiently make any difference at all. The only chance we will ever have of sustainable promotion to the Championship is a massive additional investment, with the need of a new stadium or owners that will s...

Re: RW seriously pi55ed off

I mean this isn't really a question of ambition so much as it is size. There is only so much money we can spend when the limit to our gates is just under 9k. The owners have been consistent in saying they simply can't afford to subsidise the sort of deficits you'd need to compete in the championshi...
