Re: Jabo Ibehre
One of my favourites growing up. Also grossly underrated in my view. He may not have been a prolific goalscorer but, if anything, that only serves to highlight the other strengths he brought to the field such as his exceptional hold up play and ability to bully defenders. If not for those assets, he...

Re: Ratings thread
Tough one to rate today as it was like watching two different teams in first and second half. Expecting many adjustments to these  Brill - 5 - as a member of tbey GK union feel for him with that spilt cross for the first goal but last season's Brill doesn't do that. Needs some competition goin...

Re: Currie now bookies favourite.
Suspension of betting doesn't necessarily mean an announcement is imminent. The spotting of a potential candidate on a match day could lead to a rush of bets so I wonder if the bookies might just be suspending betting to protect themselves. Who knows? Hope I'm wrong and it is announced today.

Re: Football for a Fiver Offers
Completely forgot about the offer so have left it too late. If anyone happens to have 2+ spares going please drop me a message! Happy to pay face value or donate to JE3 Foundation as the SC does for spares.

Re: Ticket Spares / Exchanges
If anyone happens to have 2 or more spare Walsall tickets seated together please drop me a message. Completely forgot that it was Football for a Fiver so left it too late. Preferably East Stand but will take whatever's going. Happy to pay the £5 face value in cash or make equivalent donation to JE3 ...

Re: Moving Forward From This
I do agree that it is too early to be discussing this, but we should be mindful that people mourn in different ways and there will be point when some people do want to discuss this but for others it is still too soon. I don't think one thread about the short term future is inconsiderate as long as ...

Re: Wembley tickets
Currently only have the option of block 543 which is right upon the gods. Do you reckon there’s any point in hanging on for returns once Wembley start looking at the ghost kids or will I just have to lump it? Might be worth looking at the Cray section. Right next to Orient and you'll probably be ab...

Re: Martin Ling Track Record
I think what cosyg is that his past in mental health is irrelevant in the scheme of things. As far as I am concerned, he was sick, but got treatment and now he is well again, and should be treated just like anyone else. Similar to how if someone came back to work after recovering from cancer, or a ...

Re: Martin Ling Track Record
Personally, I think it's the wrong metric to look at. Anyway, the descriptions are quite funny, almost as if Lingy wrote them himself! The biggest factor in getting us promotion was Edinburgh. We could have had exactly the same players under Steve Davis and I think we'd be mid-table, it was quite f...

Martin Ling Track Record
Thought it'd be interesting to do an audit on our signings since he returned to the club as DOF. Someone made an interesting post recently listing our squad at the start of last season and it was actually terrifying to see what was left! All of this is up for debate but personally I feel Lingy has d...

Re: Ticket Spares / Exchanges
On the off chance anyone can't make Braintree at home please message me. It's for my brother who has to work alternate weekends so doesn't buy a ST and it looks like the game has already sold out. Cheers

Re: Pubs for Sutton
The High Street is a manageable 20 min walk from the ground. I'm heading for the Shinner and Sudtone which is an Antic pub (same pubco as the Technical). There's also a Young's pub halfway between there and the ground called the Robin Hood. Best pub in the borough, by some margin, is the Hope in Ca...

Pubs for Sutton
Trying to work out where to go for a beer before the game. A Sutton mate tells me there aren't really any decent pubs in the vicinity of the ground but apparently the Cock & Bull near Sutton station is okay - it's about 20 mins walk from the ground. Would ideally like to watch the Salford v Maid...
