Re: Councils turning a blind eye

Long slender neck wrote: Wed Jan 10, 2024 12:09 pm Why all the claims about driving to&from there at speed then?
It is possible to drive to or from places you do not live at.

For example I drive to / from Brisbane Road for home games, but I do not live there or I drove to & from Cambridge on New Years Day, but I do not live there either

Re: Councils turning a blind eye

To digress slightly... I was looking up the details of councillors on Redbridge Council and it is quite worrying to see that where their home address should be it states either no address or To be honest I do not see why any councillor should have to provide a home address as long as their contact ...

I avoid Ilford like the plaque - even though I live in the Borough. Have a look at the religion of those in charge in both Redbridge & Tower Hamlets and you may find an answer Thought you lived in Newcastle? Probably just as well that you don't think in future then I've not lived in the city of...

Re: Councils turning a blind eye

The current leader of LB Redbridge council is Sikh so I'm not sure what you're getting at? I didn't mention the leader of the council, I was talking about those in charge - ie the councillors. Perhaps I did not make it clear. In both Councils, it is not Jews who are running the councils Wriggling. ...

Re: Councils turning a blind eye

Me, casting mad aspersions on the motives of Councillors on account of them being apparent followers of A Certain Religion. Also me, isn't it sad that Councillors might be afraid of publishing their home addresses? Why would that be?! *Shrug* No contradiction at all. Suggesting people do something ...

Re: Fernandes Penalty - Wigan

Offsides are not treated to this 'clear and obvious' edict? its clear and obvious that their definition of clear and obvious varies from cases to case and some ( not me) would say its clear and obvious that the use of the clear and obvious test is biased in favour of the big clubs Is this clear and...

Re: Fernandes Penalty - Wigan

Watching the games at non prem grounds, I loved not having var. The problem now is that the standard of reffing risks getting lower the more they rely on var. they know that if they mess up they have var to fall back on. I think they shy away from some big decisions for that reason. However, the wa...

Re: Sensible laws of football changes

Get rid of he offside rule. It creates too many arguments, bad and incorrect decisions. .... I think the problem with that is that football would just become a Route 1 game - long hoofs upfield to a player(s)2 in opposition penalty area every time you get the ball. The middle of the pitch would be ...

Re: Sensible laws of football changes

1) Scrap VAR 2) If 1) is not possible, then remove offside from its purview and have the Assistant Referees actually do their f*cking jobs rather than just run up and down and wait to see what happens. If you have to draw lines on a screen then it's onside, basically. I do not think VAR in itself i...

Re: Sensible laws of football changes

Offside = daylight rule That won't change anything. The argument will then be over what is "daylight". Whatever system or definition you use, there will always be those marginal cases, unless you screaaped offside completely ( and no I am not suggesting that is the way to go! Semi automat...
