Re: ⚽NEW POST✍️ An interview with Orient investor Jim McCaffrey
Unfortunately this is where the game in England is now. If you want to compete you need £s and very few locals have the interest or money to do it. Any outsider will be more interested in returns etc than a local butcher/car dealer back in the day. US investors especially see a big gap in potential ...

Re: Time to prepare for next season?
QPR have been subsidising Kelmans wages for at least 3 years now so will want payback - as much as he loves it here and working for Richie, I can't see the financials working out. I hope I'm wrong. Makes sense for Keeley to come back here. Championship is absolutely a step too far just now. Brown a...

Re: Jayden Sweeney
It’s fair to call out poor performances, but after a team performance like yesterday where he was nowhere near the worst on the pitch, it seems targeted to specifically have a named thread. I agree 100% about being a thread title. Not necessary. However, I do happen to think that the player is not ...

Brown and Pratley looked knackered yesterday which I why we had no control. Unfortunately their replacements were awful.

Re: Encore pareil next season
You could say there’s something more Fundamental at play here though right? Last year he wasn’t backed and we tailed off, this year he was backed and we also tailed. As well as a poor start to both seasons Not sure the two seasons compare. Injuries and suspensions to key players have caused this ta...

Re: Jayden Sweeney
Maybe it's better to now drop the subject on Sweeney as a few people on here seem to get irritated if you happen to say that he's not quite up to standard. It’s fair to call out poor performances, but after a team performance like yesterday where he was nowhere near the worst on the pitch, it seems...

Re: Time to prepare for next season?
But you’d imagine discussions are being had with, amongst others, Beckles, Markandy, Agyei, Williams, Kelman. Lots of new faces needed though, obviously. Let’s hope we don’t leave all our business until the last minute. Beckles will definitely be offered, wellens said they gave him assurances after...

Re: Time to prepare for next season?
Who is under contract for next season? REG Cooper James Happe Clare Brown Galbraith (one year option in club favour) Obiero Abdulai O’Neill Perkins DJ At least 6-7 of those are decent 1st team/squad players. Richie will want rid of Cooper, and Galbraith will likely be sold. Yep didn’t count either ...

Re: Exiles thread - Northampton
Just remembered the time Sweeney was being fouled by 3 of their players, then just as he managed to break free of the last man and launch a counter attack, the clown decided to blow up for the free kick. Don’t disagree with what you say, just don’t see ex-players as the panacea. It’s institution in...

It’s going to be the usual massive restructure, but we have some solid players under contract who give us a decent base to build on. Who is under contract for next season? Re: Exiles thread - Northampton
Don’t think he was weak. Pretty brave to consistently anger a home crowd. But seriously, throughout the league levels there’s a real problem with refereeing. Issues with consistency, pettiness and at the same time willingness to let too much slide. Something needs to be done to get ex players to ta...

Re: And normal service resumes
I’d struggle to say anyone did well. Some were adequate, Agyei, REG, Williams and Abdulai probably The rest were poor. Our midfield was non existent, probably though tiredness, there were so many misplaced passes in the first half, but Clare and Ball were even worse.

Re: Encore pareil next season
Massive rebuild ahead, looking at a good 15 players unless Spurs and Oxford are feeling really generous and let us keep Keeley, Donley and Currie... GK - 2 new players (Keeley loan end, Howes release) LB - 2 new players (Currie loan end, move Sweeney on) CB - 2 new players (Simpson end of contract,...

Re: 28/01/25 & 15/02/25
Would put the Currie suspension in there too, lost every game since he's been out, much like start of the season where LB was a huge weak spot. Sweeney was substituted at HT and it looked like Williams played LB. Was Sweeney injured ? Think it was to leave the attackers on and get Kelman on. Willia...

He wasn’t great today but he was by no means the worst in that first half. Don’t think any player can look at that half and think they did well.

For a change in momentum and to keep in touch, it’s a must win, 24 points probably needed for playoffs, so quicker we pick those up the better for everyone.

The issue is the feeling of lost momentum, now whether that’s just on us supporters, or whether the players feel it too, we need to get back to winning ways asap.

Re: Play Offs
Just. But winning 1 six pointer out of 4 isnt enough if you want to be up there. As hard as it is to take, you are right. Against the current top 7: Brum - played 2 lost 2 - 0 pts Wycombe - played 1 lost 1 - 0pts Wrexham - played 2 won 1 drawn 1 - 4pts Stockport - played 2 won 1 lost 1 - 3pts Hudde...

Re: Takeover
Travis has been explicit in saying the takeover will be linked to a new ground. The sites identified are definitely within the borough as he's been explicit on this as well. Again, they won't be ponying up the entirety of the cash. We'll incur a lot of debt in moving even if the new owners put in '...
