Re: Tube fares up 4.6% in 2025
It’s going to be cheaper to drive into London soon. Awful sh*t service, sh*t trains, sh*t stations, constant strikes, delays and signal failures and that’s already the most expensive metro in the world. Totally justified increase. f*** u TFL!! In my view everything you’ve listed here applies to the...

Re: Ratings (v Rotherham)
If you analyse the season as a whole so far, with the exception of Shrewsbury, big defeat and Stockport, big win- every other game could’ve gone either way. We’ve just been on the wrong side of it a few times but you’d have to suggest therefore we’ve been a tad unlucky. Last night was bound to come ...

Re: Sainsbury’s, Leyton scandal
Causally opened that article the other day and widened my eyes as I instantly recognised the first picture.
More you think about it though, everytime I go into that Sainsburys (most home games), it does always feel and smell pretty dirty / grimy in there

Re: Exiles thread - Peterborough (H)
Ignore the result, we were superb to a man. Everyone ran their bollocks off and aside from a poor 5 mins Peterborough couldn’t deal with us. Good signs and we look sharp and fit. Word for the ref as well. Let the game flow - very good Good shout on the ref, I thought the same, one of the better one...

Ratings- Peterborough Home
Encouraging performance, possibly deserved more. Came away quite pleased with that, there’s definitely the underbelly of a decent side starting to click here. Hemming: 6- Not loads to do. Yes conceded the pen but he was tapping it in if he hadn’t fouled him so no real blame there. Liked the fact he ...

Our pitch
Yellow warning for rain tonight and tomorrow.
I don’t think the game should be in any doubt hopefully, in fact I can’t remember the last time a home game was off for a waterlogged pitch.
Isn’t our pitch now supposed to be some sort of hybrid where it can sustain lots of water?

Obviously not hugely nearby but has anyone tried the very highly rated Thai on Leytonstone High Road, Singburi?

Re: Joe Piggot
Giving him the benefit of the doubt here, think there’s a decent player in there but it was a strange signing because our style of football is completely unsuitable for his game and you could see that from the first minute of last season. He’s a poacher / target man and we tend to play with more dim...

Re: Wonder if there's any truth in this:...
I could see it. Would be an incredible signing and kickstart our transfer window. Easy to forget we’re only a division apart and he would’ve likely had a relegation clause in his contract reducing his wage, probably around 25%. If we agree to pay 50%, surely it’s not outside the realms of possibility?

Re: Ratings
Don’t say this lightly but for me O’Neill last night was a 10. Absolutely outstanding performance, the best on field performance from an Os player since a couple of Smyth cameos last year. Ran them absolutely ragged all night and capped it off with a goal and I’m giving him 2 assists. I thought Edwa...

Re: Brandon Cooper
Well if he has a phenomenal season next year, we could get a good fee for him as he’s signed a 2.5 yr contract and would still be a good age.
Wouldn’t massively shock me if Swansea have a buy back clause / first option as a lot their fans are surprised they let him go. Which is always a good sign.

Re: Brandon Cooper
I think the signing makes sense on many levels. Whatever fee we paid, it would not have been significant. Good age and sell on value. Will improve you’d think. A solid league 1 player. Sure the Derby red card was incredibly foolish but you have to think he’d have learned from that and hopefully out ...

Re: Ratings.
Said this after the Cambridge game, are we a better side without Ruel in the team?
Sanders seems to shore us up whilst also being able offer attacking output and frankly despite seeing very little of him this year, we always seem to look a better side with him in the team instead.

Re: Ratings.
Agree with the above, I think we’re a better side away from home without Ruel as Sanders made us more solid. Overall a pretty comfortable win. Cements the view we are a pretty decent mid table side in this league. I make RW right that we do tend to struggle against the bigger boys but hardly lose ag...

Re: Ratings - Bristol Rovers (a)
The thing with Graham for me is that, yes it may not always come off, but he offers that creative guile, flair and trickery that we don’t have at all in this current side. Case in point at Northampton away where he was a menace all night but his delivery was poor. However he is capable of unlocking ...

Re: Ratings - Bristol Rovers (a)
Agree with most of the ratings. Brown again, excellent. Backline were mostly strong and Theo never stopped running, trying to get something going for us. Two main stand out points. 1) It’s blindingly obvious how badly we miss Jordan Graham. I had a feeling at the time with his injury it could derail...

Re: Ratings
Entertaining game, fair result. In fairness to the team and Wellens as poor as we were on Tuesday, we did get a response yesterday. Real positive seeing Ageyi get minutes and you'd hope it's not too long before we can start him as we desperately need a bit of flair and creativity in the front line t...

Tomorrow’s game - Lincoln (h)
Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere but can’t find any reference to it on the forum yet. A lot of talk that Lincoln were going to let us walk the ball in from kick off, but that seems to have gone very quiet. I’m expecting that won’t happen now to be honest but will be interesting to see, putti...

Re: Cheapest Petrol!
I thought the govt was supposed to be releasing an app/website to check nearest up to date fuel prices to combat this blatant profiteering.
I use Waze which is quite good for nearest fuel prices, although it relies on individual users updating it and therefore is often a few days old

Re: Ratings
Thought we were poor overall and frankly 3-2 flattered us. My major concern about this side is is our lack of creativity with Graham out injured. I felt at the time his injury was a massive blow as he offered genuine width, a great delivery and took players on. You'd have thought with over 30 mins t...

Re: Oxford United
Our 1-0 win there in league 2 near the end of Kevin Nolan’s stint as manager - with a goal from Jobi - was one of my favourite ever away games. The Os fans sang ‘we made you cry’ almost continuously through the match. I feel that game did a lot to reinforce Oxford fans antipathy towards us Great sc...

Re: Ratings
Strange game in parts. We were clearly the better side but lacked impetus and the crowd was flat. Last 10-15 mins seemed to wake up as did the crowd and got a deserved winner, great scenes at the end!
