Re: US-based consortium close to £18m takeover

"Due diligence" = Have they got enough cash to give us our cash? Have they been horrid already somewhere else? That's about it I reckon, and to be fair Travis does not have a crystal ball as to what might happen. Any "re-brand" to the London Something would see me gone, but no d...

Re: 25/26 season tickets on sale NOW

Many of us have been well pi$$ed off at the lack of Saturday 3pm games due to either TV or International breaks and I wonder if this will affect the number of fans buying season tickets ?? What do we all think……… Well you did ask. Firstly the buggering about of fixture dates and times away from tra...

Pleased for the Geordie fanbase, and it pees off the armchair plastics that attach themselves to Liverpool which is an additional bonus.

Re: Team for Blackpool

I'm afraid, that as you suspect, it's a dead rubber. Wish it wasn't and if we were still in the hunt I would have been there tomorrow. Did you know that I once rode a horse on Blackpool beach in 1976 for the first and last time. Horrible it was. The Donuts played football on the beach with some WBA...

We still have a chance. Teams have come further back than us and slipped in, though I get that "the fanbase" has already written us off, I won't give up until it's mathematically impossible.

Let's hope the players feel the same

Re: England Squad

Many (not necessarily on here, but many) said Southgate was the barrier to England sweeping all before them. The masses got their wish and the new messiah is in place, (Tuchel) and he's getting daggers before a ball has even been kicked. The England football manager is the national punch-bag and no ...

Re: Now 30 points available

I haven't given up hope.

Not even 1 win, but 1 single moment (a la Keeley vs Oldham) could turn it back round again.

As long as there's a mathematical chance, I haven't given up hope.

I dont think he knew what he wasn't getting himself in for. Being a player manager and all with the sh*t show happening at the same time. He did alright. But by all accounts, didnt cover himself in glory at the end of season awards... From memory, started well as a manager here, but wheels off pret...

Re: Matchday (evening) and exiles thread vs Rotherham 04/03/25

Sounds like we need a complete clear out. Two weeks ago, some were saying we could make the Top-2 with this squad, but a decimated Orient team (almost a reserve side) has not won in 4 games, so yeah, get them All out, and get them out fast. Also question Ling/The Board/The budget etc etc ad nauseum...

Re: Nathan Jones

I quite like Charlton. Their fans were excellent on Saturday, great stadium, massively overachieved in the prem when I was growing up and always seemed like a likeable bunch. Jones on the other hand is a knob and it'll be funny when it inevitably goes tits up for him. Managers who behave like they ...

Good feet and intelligence, but needs to realise there's no-one to do fetching and carrying For him, in L1 Needs more time to develop to the rigours of L1, and perhaps physically too. I'm not knocking the bloke - far from it, he's a young player and clearly needs more time but if this was Championsi...

Jones is a strange man, and has come out with some very weird stuff over the years. Another Joey Barton type figure in some ways. His whole mindset on Saturday of "someone said some hurty words, so that gives me the justification to act like a cock", brings insight into the rationale of th...

Re: Exiles thread - Charlton (H)

I'm sure there's no conspiracy as such. That would deem the suits in question had some kind of organisational ability, when in contrast I imagine they could f*** up a cup of coffee. However, asked off the bat if they'd prefer Charlton/Bolton/Huddersfield back in "their" Championship, rathe...

Currie won the ball, and the ball was already travelling upfield when the Birmingham player arrived (late). You could put a case to say it was dangerous play from the Brum player, since the ball had been won by Currie and had already gone. One of the most ludicrous sending offs I've seen, which imme...

Norwich was good too. Even Southampton and Leicester, in their newer grounds - thankfully both centrally located. Think this answers it really so i.e. "it depends" I enjoyed Norwich for sure, but when we went to Wolves top of L1 in 2013 it seemed really s*** and sanitised. Surly, scowling...

Re: blackburn interest in richie

Bit of a basket-case club/owners. Can't see Richie digging that. Small club really- 16,000 crowds near the top of the Champsionship. They'd get around 9,000 in L1 Granted, they bought the Prem 30 years ago with Jack Walker's money but football was very different then. RW will want to at least see ou...
