Re: My mate....

My mate had his credit card stolen in February and went to report it yesterday. The police asked him why he had taken so long to notify them and he replied that he quickly realised that the thief was spending less than his wife. ‘If that is the case, Sir, why have you reported this now?’ And my mate...

Bollocks to the pair of them . The more teams that finish behind us next season the better I will feel .
These two sentiments are not necessarily incompatible.

Both Revell and Cuthbert were good players when at our club and I wish them well in management.

Radios - Prohibited at LOFC

Went to the club today to sign up for season ticket renewal and kerbed the car up in front of the turnstile entrances for the Famuly Stsnd. The notice displayed at said entry to the stadium has a list of symbols relating to stuff you can’t bring into the ground. I get that the alcohol, cans, bottles...

Re: RIP Phil Hoadley

Glad he got his own thread because Phil was a giant in defence for the Os during the most successful spell in our history.
Spoke to Phil at the unveiling of Laurie Cunninghams sratue in 2019. He was such a lovely man

Broadband options

Hello all I spent an hour in the phone to BT today trying to review my broadband arrangements. I’m on what they call Halo and have no TV or anything but up till now my £70 a month includes landline which used to be compulsory. I had looked on line and see that BT does a broadband only deal for new c...

Re: Top 3 Most tedious sports.

Which sports do fellow boarders think are the most tedious and why ? My top 3 would be: 1) Formula One. Quite enjoyed it as a kid in 70's when it seemed exciting. Stopped watching it regularly in the early 90's. It just doesn't seem that interesting or competitive anymore. 2) Golf. Lost track of wh...

Re: What are you Watching Today Part 2

I've never paid more than 3 euro for Nowtv. Just go to cancel on your account and they make at least 2 offers. Sometimes I just cancel for a week or so, and then the e mail offers start. It's great value for the HBO stuff etc. Currently on 9 months 3 euro a month I took this advice and cancelled No...

Re: Peter Bennett

We lost 2-0 at home to Sheffield United back in the day and I recall Peter Bennett doing his best to get us back in the game. But he still smiling and didn’t look as crushed by defeat as 10 year old me would have liked. That day I realised that football is not and never should be a matter of life an...

Leyton Orient Doubles - 2-1 up with 6 to play

The Os have thus far managed to do the double over two teams this season (Carlisle and Cambridge) To our great credit we have avoided suffering the same fate yet. With just 7 games left we still have a good chance of adding to our 'doubles' count. However, there remain a few opportunities left via t...

Re: Do you like the ‘New, last Beatle’s Song?’

I think the Beatles deserve to be recognised for their groundbreaking music
I am also a big fan of the Smiths
But I have never tried to compare them
It’s like chalk and cheese

I think Joy Division were brilliant and could have gone on to wider recognition but for Ian Curtis untimely death

6 passes in first half from Pigott
We are terrible when we have to dictate play
Way way too negative - so I don’t wish to single Pigott out even though I do think he’s crap.

I always thought wearing glasses co tributes to speed in which eyesight deteriorates due to become dependent on them.
