Re: Not Going
Not going either. Had I lived locally I would have gone, but having been at the Braintree game, I’m more than happy that my season ended there, savouring the atmosphere of the title and a return to the Football League. Enjoy it everyone who is there, have a great day and of course I hope we win. Gre...

Re: Farage on Marr
Going back to the original point, I saw the Farage on Marr interview, and I also saw Farage interviewed by Huw Edwards today on the BBC News Channel. The feeling I’m left with is Edwards came over as far more professional than Marr in the way he conducted the interview, and as a result it was far mo...

Re: Chesterfield having big clear out
Thought that JBW was dreadful when he played for us, but he really must have been better than that.
I think the Spireites have landed the right manager in John Sheridan, and I'll be surprised if they don't at least make the play-offs next season.

Re: WillJustin Stay.
I think he’ll stay, he’s seen what can happen when one jumps and it doesn’t work out, and as a new manager not delivering expectations the sack is never far away. Look at the likes of Harry Kewell and Paul Hurst this last season, there are numerous other examples too. JE seems very happy at the O’s,...

Re: How are you feeling today?
At just before midnight Friday I was coming out of Norwich hospital A&E with an eye patch, but nothing was going to stop me being at Brisbane Road yesterday, and twelve hours later I was there savouring the atmosphere, and with both eyes operational! Feels fantastic, what an achievement by every...

Re: What a season
Agreed. When FB left the club we had no senior pros, no manager, groundsman, training pitch, most of the surviving backroom staff hadn’t been paid, and with the summer transfer window underway most of the decent out-of-contract players had already been snapped up by other clubs. The club was all but...

Re: Any one else feeling sick
I am confident, pleased I got tickets for Saturday, albeit in the East Stand not the West as usual, but am reminded that I was in the East Stand when we beat Wrexham in the Play Off final some years back, so hope it's a good omen. Won't be celebrating until we are up, but fully expect to be celebrat...

Re: Things I've learnt about non league
I’ve had far less chance of following us to the odd away fixture in the National League, as most teams are even further from me than those in the lower Football League, and of course ground capacities are also much smaller too. But it’s confirmed my view that football is very impressively alive and ...

Re: Exilds thread v Solihull Moors
That'll do, well played lads, result always more important than the performance today, and Fylde have done us a massive favour.
Almost there, maths in our favour.

Re: 3pm Monday 22 April...
Will be listening to the commentary, and while I’ve a ticket for Saturday and would love to see us win promotion then, I’d settle for that match being a celebration were we to land it today, but am not expecting that to happen.

Re: Play like that on Monday
The spirit is excellent, and can’t fault JE or the team in delivering good results in difficult away games against the rest of the top seven. The players will believe, and we need one last solid away performance, and we can nail it on Saturday. Not impossible that Salford will drop a point in their ...

Re: Would you take the draw?
Yep I’d take the draw too. Biggest danger to us not going up is losing on Monday. Not impossible for Salford to end up above us on goal difference, but the odds are against, and we’ll know where we stand before Braintree visit if we come away from Solihull with a point. From a Solihull viewpoint the...

Re: League Two (Is it all that)
Four promotion spots available of which three are automatic is the big plus of League Two over the National League.
