Re: Russia / Ukraine Watch
The resolve to avoid any military contact between NATO and Russia is still strong. But we ain't seen the second attack wave yet. So far only about a third of Russian forces have crossed into Ukraine, and many of them seem to be bewildered conscripts from the Caucases. The Russians are probing for w...

Re: Russia / Ukraine Watch
Things really seem to be happening. Kazakhstan and China are backing away, ejection from SWIFT is looking likely. And the Germans are finally doing the right thing. All the above, combined with the incredible bravery and resistance of the Ukrainian people, and the news that the Chechen general may ...

Re: R***r watch
He's just following the usual pattern he used to display on here after he'd go OFF on one. There would follow a subdued period, but it would always give way to increasing escalations of OFFence. Yeah, but he'd disappear from here while he was stewing. The fact he's not going OFF at games might be a...

Re: Can’t figure out which January signing is the worst
Can’t understand how Ray gets in ahead of Adam Thompson Thompson was a stupid gamble by the club. Brought in on high wages to be a key player despite having made barely 200 professional appearances by 28. We signed him, Smyth and Reilly presumably as first team players and none of them have made an...

Re: Relegation
Just a thought but wouldn’t have been better to have kept Jackett and Gallen and invested the 100k + severance pay into two decent players. .... The transfer window for purchases closed on 31 January, so unless Orient have a time machine , that is not an option now this season We can sign free agen...

Re: Ling’s reign continues
Why wasn’t Harold shown the door at the beginning of the season like all the other coaches we got rid of. Because of this very situation. Ling can manipulate Harold like he has with previous managers. Make no mistake about it this club will never be a success while he’s pulling the strings in the b...

Thanks KennyChocolate_brownie wrote: ↑Sat Feb 26, 2022 8:08 pm Who is in charge of signing players for this club? Because whoever it is has failed spectacularly.
This squad, minus a few, is absolute dog sh*t.

Re: Our midfield
I'm guessing they thought that Reilly would have been back and established in the team by, well, at least a month ago. Obviously not been the case, but it's not like our midfield was great when we were doing well either.

Re: Relegation
It’s my best guess. Half a seasons wages each. It must be at least that. Feel free to have your own guess Fair enough, but we'd still have needed to compensate him at the end of the season if we wanted to get rid. How many compensation packages is Ling still paying off at the moment? Is it just Jac...

Re: Can’t figure out which January signing is the worst
That’s what happens when the best choices are removed due to budgetary reasons, the budget was clearly insufficient. The top 8 budget with further increases was inadequate? It is when you’ve got someone with the negotiating skills of a toddler in charge of spaffing it up the wall. There's nothing t...

Watching the players today that he brought in this January - Ray, Khan, Colebrown, Nobble - is the icing on the cake. Get him out ffs. We already have gotten rid of the person who wanted those players. You don’t really believe that, do you? Why would an open engaging ownership group lie about...

Re: Can’t figure out which January signing is the worst
It really is hard to pick the worst out of Ray, Nouble, Coleman, Moss and Brown. Coleman is really, really, really bad. If you’re signing a player from the conference you better make sure he’s one of the best in that tinpot division. This clown was playing for one of the worst teams in that divisio...

Re: Despite today's result
Guess it depends who the manager is and how long we need to wait before they arrive. Timing of this decision was terrible ahead of three big games and knowing we'd not have a proper manager for at least two of those. Should have ditched Cannae Hackit earlier.
