No it's not, aircraft noise is not a statutory nuisance. Buying a house near a stadium/pub/club and then complaining about the noise is the height of cuntery though.

Re: What are you Watching Today Part 2
I thought the Kneecap film on Amazon Prime was pretty funny if not quite worthy of some of the lavish praisenits received.

Re: Do your children have smartphones?
So much worse than donkey kong. Full of ads, microtransactions, loot boxes (gambling), inappropriate material and that's before you consider that the game itself is often just absolute crap. And if its something online like roblox it can be infested with paedophiles The only online stuff he plays i...

Re: Do your children have smartphones?
By the way he doesn't have his own, I just let him use mine with the agreement I can see what he's been up to afterwards. I don't have parental controls on, he knows he'd be in huge trouble if he bought something in an app and has never done it. I will at some point turn on controls for the internet...

Re: Do your children have smartphones?
A complete ban seems a bit silly to me when they are going to have free access one at some point. Trying to teach sensible use seems better. The games are mindnumbingly awful but probably no worse than me being attached to a Donkey Kong handheld when I was about his age and the voice notes he sends ...

Re: Labour Watch
Labour thus far. What an absolute shambles. Clueless hypocrites. 5 more years, Lord help us. Upset at losing your winter bonus? I’ve always believed the fuel allowance should be means tested, pensioners like me don’t need it. I gave it away to charity. Their loss not mine. But I’m fecking upset for...

The charge they were found guilty of was criminal damage to the value of less than £5000. The prosecutor said the damage was significantly below that threshold.

A solution to the riots
Rather than going through with the civil war Elon says is coming, let's negotiate a settlement now, racists get anything north east of the line. Willing to negotiate on some of the northern bits and get closer to the Danelaw boundaries, but Cornwall is a red line because I like going on holiday ther...

Re: To avoid derailing the Olympics thread…
Not a huge amount I disagree with in that and I can't be arsed to discuss the bits I'm not 100% on board with. Absolutely agree there should be consistent testing, for fairness in all elite sports and safety in combat sports. For me, a bigger red flag than the lack of appeal (why fund it when she wa...

As the one with the scientific knowledge perhaps you could explain why they used a test designed for amniotic fluid on a blood sample?

Re: To avoid derailing the Olympics thread…
Fair summary, except no one has even said what test was carried out and you have to take the word of the IBA on the result of those unspecified tests.
