Re: Local elections - How are YOU voting?

I think people of all political persuasions are loathe to display posters these days because they fear
some nutter putting a brick or worse through their windows

Re: Peterboro

Very impressed with them when they arrived at the ground. All in club suits and ties and no earphones on, they actually looked liked
professionals. As earlier posted, well done to the goalkeeper coach too, first time I have seen that. Top bloke but maybe the Stewards could do it in future.

Re: Peter Bennett

I know Bennett was versatile, but what was his best position? Peter Bennett was a midfielder at West Ham but played as a centre back alongside Terry Mancini when he first arrived at the O’s and stayed in that position ( alongside Paul Harris) after Mancini left. After a very serious groin injury su...

Re: empty seats

That seems highly unlikely. The club encourage people to use them as it improves our negotiating position next time around. If I hear any different I'll let you know. Does the Supporters Club have to pay the club commission on all those egg sandwiches they shift on a match day? I'm assuming it's eg...

Re: empty seats

I may be wrong but I think part of the deal is we take a share of their takings on matchdays. If so it would explain why the club encourage people to get there a bit early to spend dosh. We have had Idris for two seasons now. It is asking a lot for him to want to stay for another two at least. I
hope he does 'cos he is a terrific player but I think he'll be on his way. If on the other hand we go up..........

Re: RIP Stan Bowles

I, too had the pleasure of watching Stan at Brisbane Rd in season 80/81. I particularly remember a 4-0 drubbing of Preston in October. Stan was sublime in that match & although we were a 2nd tier team, he looked too good for us. We were lucky to have him. The attendance was just over 4,000 whic...

I know it’s easier said than done but I really think if we stay up(which I’m sure we will🤞) think we must take a look at our long term strategy . Tbh I don't think much will change. RW has been frustrated by the late transfer activity that left us a month behind the curve fitness wise but the DoF w...

I don't think that was Derek, it was probably Simon Fellman who stood in, like Derek, for Keith Simpson when
he was indisposed

I don't think that was Derek. More likely to have been Simon Fellman who also did a stint as
matchday announcer whenever Keith Simpson was indisposed.
