Re: Questions for Martin Ling

Less than a decade ago we were competing with the likes of Wolves ( Prem), Brentford (Prem), Rotherham(soon to championship), Preston (Championship), Peterborough (Championship).. Whilst we languish in the lower reaches of the bottom division.. What’s gone wrong so quickly??? It’s as if the years 2...

Re: Looking at the scores

Carlisle are awful . True but so are we. We aren't awfull We're just suffering with confidence . Speaks someone who surely therefore hasn’t seen us play over the last month. Playing for a 0-0 isn’t to do with confidence. A month ago I might have agreed but the last month has been atrocious. We have...

Re: Some of our support

Think it's a bit harsh to pin our consistent awfulness on the fans. Brentford have probably the best owner in English football. What he's achieved there has very little to do with their supporters demanding better and more to do with him having an industry leading model for recruitment that has all...

Re: Some of our support

Some of our supporters need to get a grip and stop wetting the bed. Just over a month ago we were stuffing Swindon out of sight, you would've thought by the reaction of the same supporters Orient 2022 were up there with Brazil 1970. Since then we have had an enforced break of 5 weeks that has derai...

Re: Some of our support

Kokomo...... You're deluding yourself if you think covid breaks has anything whatsoever to do with our abject form at the moment! To put your exaggerated example about Brazil into reality, we have gone from a very well respected, and dangerous free scoring side to a team that cannot now hit a cow's...

No pay on the day available at Stoke sunday

Absolute nonsense of a decision, especially under the current situation with games being cancelled at the last minute. Made my mind up for me, shame was looking forward to it. First of all they move it to Sunday then they don't allow tickets to be purchased on the day. These clubs really don't give ...

what league rule does that come under ? It doesn’t because it makes too much sense. it makes no sense at all . Ive missed your strange posts , where you been , Belmarsh ? Re: Cancel season and start again in March

Only sensible plan would now be to void the season 21-22 and start again in March. Start again in March and run through to the beginning of November in time to finish for the World Cup in December. More games for families because of summer holidays, later nights so less electricity costs and most i...

Re: Cancel season and start again in March

Or just play the vast majority of games that are still able to go ahead, and reschedule the couple of games that can’t. So you think it’s right and ok on supporters and fair for the integrity of the tournament that some teams will be playing 2 a week for the rest of the season. That’s before we hav...

Re: Cancel season and start again in March

So if the season started in March, and finished in November, what would happen to 'football', between January and August, next year? As I say maybe it’s time to chuck tradition out of the window and turn association football into a summer game ,(for the reasons I mention in my first message) Februa...

Re: Game OFF.

Presumably thats asymptomatic testing. If a player has symptoms then they need to test to prevent potentially circulating it to others. Great job by Rovers/Barton though to say just enough to sound like the game would be taking place when in reality they knew it was never going to happen. Utter cre...

Re: Cancel season and start again in March

Certainly is, all the other decision don’t add up. Extend the season to complete the games means a knock on effect/delay for next season or play 2 times a week for the rest of this season (players welfare/well being issues/competition integrity issues) As I say, the only SENSIBLE decision left to ma...

More general intelligence advice I would imagine, especially seeing as the terrorist risk level in the UK has been tightened/ gone up after recent events.

Re: Orient away kit

Let's face it our last decent kit was 22 years ago 1999-2000. What a great kit to welcome in the new millennium. Little did we know at the time how dull the next 21 years were going to be kit wise.... Thats your opinion, not mine. Several of our kits this century have been good. The near promotion ...

Re: Rochdale v Orient match thread

Just on train back from game, it shouldn’t have been a corner as James played it off their man. Still rank poor defending tho for the resulting kick. Even after that we were still the better team and ‘Dale were hanging on and looking more in need of final whistle. so disappointing, feels like a defe...

Harsh red. Missed our best chance and Mansfield save right at the very end , Archibald I think? Strange to highlights and not include the best highlight of the game.

Re: The referee today....

2 minutes stoppage time in first half was the biggest joke of all. The blood injury to the Mansfield defender in the box was 4 minutes on it’s own. I pay good money to watch 90 minutes of football not 80-85 ..... ridiculous.
