At least he dropped Wright, fair play.
Not sure what this formation is though.
Bench looks poor, no strikers and three full-backs. Is Harrold crocked as well or is he on gardening leave too?

Re: Leyton Orient v Manfield prediction Thread OFFICIAL
Sure Dross would have been told what was wrong with Saturday, and the priority will be getting goals instead of keeping them out.
This will lead to a more entertaining game but also more goals against.
Draw 2-2 after going behind twice.
Goals 25, 83

Re: Players out of contract this summer
Sarge has done alright for me. Whether he wants to be backup is another thing. If he don't sign we might end up getting a young keeper who was released from a bigger club, it has always been thus. TBH the departures speak for themselves, Dayton, McAnuff, Harrold, Alabi. Perhaps Alabi has already bee...

Re: Josh Wright
His defending skills are non-existent really. Here is a reason why Bradford fans disliked him: https://twitter.com/Clarkey2506/status/1062696429351813120 I do believe he has ability, and that Justin would have built the team around him. That hasn't happened now, maybe next year. At Gillingham when h...

Re: Team for Tuesday night
Worth a go. Cisse and Marsh would be my choice if we were to go 4-4-2.
Can't see it being anything but unchanged after yesterday, the only position at risk IMO is Ruel. He is much easier to drop than Wright, although Wright has deserved a spell out for a while.

Re: A draw... Against Macclesfield..... At home
A bit of a let down, but fair play to Macclesfield I guess, that was a top 8 budget against probably the lowest budget but they are scrapping away. TBH if we had attacked and they went down and scored people would be slating the game management and saying we should have held it in the corner. Agains...

The timing is good for us, they are weakened and probably won't fill a bench. Otherwise might have been a close match.
Routine 2-0 win for us, Sotiriou continues his hot streak. Goals 35, 67

Re: Orient - Liverpool - Yourh Players
I’d like us to develop an ‘Orient way’ and make player and manager decisions based on those, and then play that way from first team to under 8s. The closest we got was under Slade. But since then there’s been no recognisable style or much of a plan on how we want to play. If we manage to have a big...

Re: Orient - Liverpool - Yourh Players
The link is tenuous IMO, no real evidence of any relationship with Liverpool. We've had one player on loan that I can recall (Maguire) and barely used him. Inglethorpe owes us nothing really, he was a player for us and a coach for a few months. Don't really see it in his interest as making closer li...

Re: Seven million pounds to break even
Amazingly Walsall are near this £7m mark (£6.6m). This is break-even for them (although it seems expenditures can be dialled down to match turnover, they are always in balance), so perhaps we are running on the same cost structures. Their commercial operations must be incredible. They pay out £4.1m ...

I thought that last week this was all going to come out in the wash in the next 3 days....
Has Ling put it on the extended spin cycle or something?
Hope there can be an amicable departure.
Seems that Jobi McAnuff took charge of the reserves vs AFC Wimbledon yesterday - perhaps he may be number 2?

Re: Seven million pounds to break even
The average wage cost must clearly be higher. Think there are plenty of other assorted employees around in the background who are not players, maybe 50 full time assorted coaches at the various levels, backroom staff. It might be more. If the figures ever are released for this season perhaps the tur...

Re: Seven million pounds to break even
Gonna be a massive stretch to achieve that without player sales. Not many clubs publish turnover figures now. Lincoln have for last season - they turned over £5.28m on an average attendance of 8,782. The last time we published turnover was under Hearn. In the 2013-2014 play-off season we did £4.32m....

Re: Now We Appear to be Safer
Would hope Stevenage go down. If they stay up from here it means Westley would have gotten some good things out of his side, and they may have some momentum to take into next season. With none of the real giants in the National League looking likely to come up (although Notts County might in the pla...

Whose idea was it to remove Alabi from the transfer list?
If he has a good loan spell at Eastleigh would you consider a new contract or is he finished here?

Re: Ruel Sotirou contract?
Like I said on the other thread I reckon we should just give Sotiriou an extended run in the side, that means not dropping him when he goes a couple of games without a goal, which happens to all strikers. There was no doubt that un-listing Alabi, which was an illogical decision anyway, hampered his ...

Re: Stevenage v Orient exiles thread
Huge win. Well pleased for Ruel, I hope he gets a proper run in the side now. Sterling or a Premiership loanee is probably more talented but he has that shithouse scrapper element that is essential for these games, and we've been lacking that. Pressure is well off for now, let's hope we can string s...

Re: Carlton Fletcher on Talksport
Not sure Lingy meant it like that, tbf. And he or the board ain't gonna go slagging off the culture here even if they thought our current staff and players were in the wrong. There seems to be a bit of self back-slapping from the fact that we were ruthless and decisive when things were not going rig...

Re: Sargent
Time has come for him to be dropped IMO. It would have been harsh for him to be dropped straightaway when Viggy came in as he was in a good run of form.... but he's had his chance now. The pressure of having an experienced pro on the bench seems to have got to him somewhat. He's a decent backup for ...

Re: It's Stirling !
How long is he out for exactly? With such a long term injury it seems that even when he gets back into full training with us he will need time and warm-up games, do we have any reserve fixtures left? I don't necessarily think it is bad, we are in no immediate need of strikers and from his (albeit li...

Re: PL youngster signing tomorrow
Or good news? Not sure we could replace Happe or Ekpiteta at short notice with anything better. A full-back would be nice, but I ain't arsed about a new midfielder if it is gonna be the Lingy type of all skill and no brawn. Quite surprising that nobody else has gone, I thought there would be departu...

Re: Dan Kemp
Tall order to expect him to score. Scored plenty of goals in the youth, but mens football is a huge step up. TBH I don't think we need creativity that much, not through the centre anyway. We've been fashioning a fair few chances since Dross changed it at HT v Northampton. All of the midfielders apar...

Don't worry lads, we got this.
Can see a really open game, as they have to win this. We'll give them hope but with Johnson hopefully to play we will have too much up front for them.
Orient to win 4-2, goals 59, 69
