Re: Devlin Out

So, if the club should so choose, they could sell tickets for free. Regardless of whether fans already have a match ticket. This would be more favourable. The club should not be seeking to make a profit on a match which has already been played. Let alone one which has been abandoned because a fan ha...

Devlin Out

I honestly struggle to think of anything good he has done. The introduction of category games was the most anti Orient thing I have seen since Bechetti. Making matchagoing fans pay again also seems very wrong. Why wouldn’t all tickets be valid again? Strange. And apparently the food is sh*t. We can ...

Re: Ratings.

El Mizouni outstanding, god knows where we'd be without him.

Beckles and Drinan also superb today, particularly after not playing for a while. I'm starting to lose patience with Kelman, when did he last play well?

Re: Moncur

Happy for him and please he got a goal. It's the best he played for a while but he's definitely been better, weird how a goal clouds people's judgement.

Re: Ratings.

Thought Moncur looked better and was arguably our best player in the first half - although that's a reflection of how poor we were. Thompson deserved MOTM, he was excellent and should partner Beckles for the rest of the season. Sotiriou has to be given a chance in the middle if we're not going to br...

Re: Ratings.

Thompson and Brown obviously deserve enormous credit for their performance.

But having El Mizouni and Pratley in front of them was key - they're probably the reason why we've kept so many clean sheets this season.

Re: RW, not this weekend

Still more concerned with the attack than the defence. I trust Pratley to do a job at centre-back and if our midfield dominates then we will conceded few chances.

But without Smyth and Archibald looking tired we are a bit toothless up front. Hopefully Sotiriou is fit.

Re: Moncur

His quality is clear to see but I think we haven't see the best of him due to formation/playing style. League Two teams pack out the middle of the pitch making it hard for him to find space. Sotiriou and Smyth have also struggled in the no.10 role, although I accept it is not their most natural posi...

Pubs on Saturday

Does anyone know if any pubs around the ground will be open before the early kick-off? Looking to take a Bradford mate so South Stand, Coach & Horses won't be available.

Pathetic refereeing to trust the lino's judgement over his own. We would've missed it anyway though.

Drinan 10x better than Smith who barely touched the ball today. Don't know why Sotiriou never plays centrally.

Re: Ratings.

Agree great to see James back. What was his injury? Assume it was knee ligaments of some sort. Kyprianou I thought played well, first half at least. Him and Clay will be decent enough next season and hopefully a midfield upgrade arriving. Just please no Pratley next season, no idea what some see in ...

Re: Os staying and going

Agree with the above, I probably wouldn't have renewed and would like to think we could find better but he does have some good qualities, on and off the pitch.

How many signings are we expecting now? Obviously depends on who signs new deals but I'd expect around 5 at least?

Re: How?

It's worth bearing in mind the ownership are still relatively new and trusted Ling a lot initially whilst they got to grasps with things. They aren't getting the results they wanted and I imagine this will prompt them to re-evaluate how things are done. The last couple of seasons, with Edinburgh's ...

Am I the only one who would keep Wilkinson? The bloke's scored 12 goals from RW ffs and is the only outfield player with any skill other than Kemp.

17 euros a week for Dossena 😂 Only things I remember was him almost scoring a weirdly from the halfway line and smashing a poor woman in the face as he warmed up before a game away somewhere. Walsall maybe? I think 9k a week for an unheard of Plasmati is even worse, who according to wiki is our cur...

Why can't we just try two up front for once?

Re: The Club needs to be ruthless......

At the end of the 2009/10 season I seem to remember a wholesale squad change. Slade had joined a few months earlier and got rid of high earners like Thornton and brought in players he knew and trusted. Now's the perfect time to get rid of non-league hangers on like Dayton, Turley, Widdowson etc. Job...

Re: Big up The Boss

Shakey moments at the back aside that was a great display so credit to Ross, seems to have the players playing with a bit of belief and identity. A lot better going forward than on Saturday so would like to see the likes of JMD and Sotiriou continue into the side. Maybe even Dennis too dare I say it.

we have 13 games free to plan for next year Agree. Best time to get a new manager in is now. Never going to happen. The fact that Ross didn’t relegate us back to the abyss of the conference will be framed as a “success” by the club and justification to shut down any discussion about getting somebod...

Re: Ratings

Thought Clay was quite a bit better on the ball today. Haven't been his biggest fan this season but he's stepped it up recently I think, maybe because of Cisse's introduction, his composure and strength in the middle has made a massive difference. Still lack a player who makes himself available for ...

Re: Ratings thread

This season has been a bit of a slap in the face for fans. There's no way on earth that Embleton is a manager but it seems that the only person who doesn't realise that is Ling. Another game with no idea, two shots on target is simply pathetic, Ross is lucky that he's been saved by Sotiriou recently...

Re: Ratings thread

First game I’ve seen Sotiriou start and have to say I was very impressed. He offers so much energy and an option to get in behind that we have lacked this season. Then he showed the necessary quality in the final 20 mins which was enough for us to win, he really deserved the goal he got. MOTM for me...

Re: Exiles and match thread vs The Cobblers

Hopefully Embleton will finally wake up and realise that 4-4-2 is the way to go. We always concede anyway so packing the midfield isn't exactly helpful. Wilkinson and Angol (or Sotiriou) up-front and JMD and Brophy on the wings, it's not rocket science. Also what is the Northampton player doing havi...
