Re: Extend the contracts for Agyei & Galbraith

If we’re looking to build, like RW signing a three year deal, then surely we need to extend both Agyei & Galbraith’s contracts. Just one year left on each. Especially Galbraith, so young, so much talent. Otherwise we could end up with a Smyth situation again. Another year on top of existing dea...

Now all we have to wait for is the quality League 1 players that RW wants.

Great news , the club must have promised realistic increased budget for getting promoted next year and RW having a final say on who we sign.

Re: Released Players

I'm surprised to see Rob Hunt going . I thought he was a good player . Also I'm disappointed to see it looks like we're going to be stuck with Pigott for next season He is no where good enough if we want to challenge for promotion . He even had to be told by Ruel recently when to press during a gam...

Re: Released Players

Ethan Light signed in January 2023 seen as long term development player, signed on 18 month contract by the clubs recruitment team.
Yet another reason why RW alone should choose and have the final say on all incoming players .

Re: New Orient Manager?

PT is not a consideration (whether he joins Richie or not). There's no-one else internal (thankfully Richie got rid of McMahon as soon as he could, otherwise he'd be in the frame). After having to deal with a head-strong, impulsive character for the past 2 years, I can see Lingy reverting back to t...

Re: Exiles thread - Shrewsbury (A)

Fair comment about TJ, he did look the part today. Richie needs to take charge of the summers recruitment but I’ve got really, really high hopes for next season. Totally agree, RW needs to take total charge of the summers recruitment with no interference at all from the so called transfer committee...

Re: Exiles thread - Shrewsbury (A)

Wanted comfortable mid-table safety at the start of the season so mission accomplished in that regard. As above what might have been had Richie been given the striker he wanted in January. A big summer recruitment cycle ahead. As long as the recruitment committe don't fcuk it all up. ⁹ I won...

Re: Anyone think Richie might be off?

There comes a point where you have to ask if the owner’s ambition is the same as Wellens? Theoretically they are, however they have a ten year plan and that’s to find a new ground to accommodate more supporters. You have to ask the question will Wellens want to wait ten years for that to come to fru...

The person/s responsible for signing Piggot and giving him that contract need to be removed, it was gross incompetence.

Re: Anyone think Richie might be off?

I just hope he get’s the right backing this coming summer. I feel sorry for the two PL kids, but Richie must think WTF have we signed these two for ?? I heard that a couple of ‘Northern clubs’ had made approaches last summer, and it wouldn’t surprise me of more come along this summer. If Nigel and ...

Re: Exiles Thread.

Can’t see what’s wrong with mid table L1, it’s the top end of our level. Who wants to get in the Championship and get spanked every week Who woudnt want Championship football for our club, all that’s needed is to provide sufficient funds to make it happen and keep RW as our Manager, one goes in han...

Re: Exiles Thread.

All this talk about championship football, we’re simply not good enough. We won’t struggle next season, we’ll be a mid table team. The reason we are currently not good enough is down to budget and the transfer committee, who wants to be forever mid table. The only way we will get promoted is by hav...

Re: Exiles Thread.

If the club want to keep RW they need to sign the players he wants that are so obviously needed and not be forced to accept players he does not want or he will be off. Yes we have had injuries but what team hasn’t, it’s the quality, first team experience at our level and above and depth of the squa...

Re: Khayon Edwards

Pigott’s days are extremely numbered, if we can get someone to take him. Between Pigs, Edwards and Adu-Adjeyi we have zero goal threat , RW must be so frustrated I think it is obvious to anyone what a massive mistake was made on these three signings, yet again a massive cock up from the transfer co...

Re: Khayon Edwards

Both the loanee lads do look miles off the standard required. Always difficult to join a new squad and find your way but I don’t recall either of them showing glimpses of what I assume they are capable of. Seems strange they are getting game time with other options now becoming available. Assume RW...

Re: Players who we don’t need any more

The club operate on a tight budget and a fairly small squad Neither of these things are really true. Let’s put it another way The clubs budget is insufficient to even get in the play offs, something major must change or we will never get promoted to the Championship and sustain a position there.

Turns we paid £600 a week, Drinan paid for Cooper & Thompson went on 2 loanees after our target turned us down, so what budget? In RW's words Cooper was already here so his wage already factored in before Drinan left. If we've paid a senior pro's wage for two kids with 0 league experience quest...
