Re: Letting Go
I’m at the western end of the known world…Pembrokeshire. Hats off to all the Exiles and long distance fans who make an effort to either go to games or watch/listen at home, but I just can’t be arsed beyond checking results/reading brief match reports these days. Mostly I potter around the garden and...

Re: Letting Go
As you may have guessed from my absence on virtually any Orient chat over the last few years, I let go a while ago. I’m pretty much restricted to checking the scores after games, and often forget to even do that sometimes. Can’t be doing with streaming tinpot lower league soccer either. Every now an...

Re: Hot cross buns
I always find these rather underwhelming, but I’ll still eat them if they’re around (with just butter - and lightly toasted if they are on the dry side). I can’t be doing with those Mr Kipling Hot Cross Pies though. Sounds to me like Big Pie Co are just using up the left over Xmas Mince Pies by putt...

Re: Walthamstow updates
My daughter and her fella went to that supperclub.tube thing by the Pump House museum last weekend. Sounds a bit w@nk to me, but I suppose eating grub on an old Victoria Line carriage is a bit of a novelty, and the food’s meant to be alright.

Sad news. Bluey was a boardin’ legend who seemed to get and join in with the in-jokes, whilst coming out with some great put-downs. RIP.

I was half tempted to drive 4 hours each way last night, but told myself not to be stupid. Who’s the silly billy now, eh?

Re: Exiles thread - Oldham Atc. (H)
How many left before the equaliser?
That sounds like a classic O’s fans day: grumbling for 89 minutes about being rubbish against a tinpot non-league side, then a one-off last gasp equaliser, head in hands at a penalty miss, finally followed by a 120th min winner. Never change, Orient

Re: Fans booing their own players
For a few seasons when I sat with Dunnem in the North Stand, if Orient were putting in a stinker we’d have to find our enjoyment spotting other fans having a meltdown and losing the plot. Naturally, we’d peer over to the West Stand if see if things were going OFF & what antics the little drummer...

^ Coolred took a fair bit of teasing on here after a pic of him looking like a Home Shopping Catalogue (ask yer mum) model got posted. Just remember he went to Bermuda to work and had some Scandi girlfriend at the time he was active, so what you wrote rang a bell. Pass on my greeting of Mazel Tov fr...

Re: Manager Merry Go Round
Omer Riza now in temporary charge, did a good job for us in difficult circumstances. I just spotted this, after checking the “Severnside” (yeah, right) derby result on the Beeb website. Weird to think the rookie back room coach who lost the pass the parcel game in Beelzebub’s dying days and took us...

I hadn't actually realised this message board existed until my cousin mentioned in on WhatsApp yesterday! He said he was a regular poster on here up until about 12 years ago when he moved to Bermuda for work. He's now married to a Swedish girl with a couple of kids & likely to return to the UK ...

Re: RIP Mikero
RIP Mike. He’d often come to games in his leathers, riding up from the Sussex Coast on his motorbike. And he did a good stint on the LOFT ctte in the Hearn years. Would often have a chat with him in the Supps Club, and met him for some Kent & Sussex non-league action a couple of times. In boardi...

Dydd Gŵyl Dewi hapus blwyddyn yma! St David sounds a bit of a miserable local: a teetotaling veggie who insisted his monks lived an ascetic life. Nice little cathedral, though. Oh well, the daffs are out already and we’ve still got some overwintered leeks in the veg beds, so we’re all sorted. Anyone...

Wellens is a bit of a player hero up there, I believe. Was in the playoff final side that dicked us 4-2 in Cardiff (and won a couple of Paint Pots with them). Will his toy-throwing antics today see him off the touchline on Tues?

Neil Kulkarni, melody maker journalist. RIP Only 51 as well, the poor bugger. I don’t remember his work on Melody Maker, when he rubbishing much Britpop as Landfill Indie and championing Hip Hop instead, but liked his contributions to the Chart Music podcast with other old muso hacks [Each episode ...

Re: You Are The OFF: King’s Counsel
I recently won 2nd prize in one of Dunnem’s fantastic competitions, and sure enough my prize was 2 copies of Pandamonium. My problem is that the 2 copies of Panda were the same bloody issue, and now I want to know if I have potential redress against the Ginger One over this dreadful mis-selling of a...
