Re: Moving house advice

All flippancy aside LSN, it does really look like you're being royally f*cked about. What does the agent say in all this? Everything you've described feels like a buyer who's probably having serious doubts about proceeding. Spike's probably right - it needs to be back on the market now. It'll flush ...

Fucks sake. Set a f*cking deadline and tell the agent to get it back on the market.

Re: Labour Watch

If foreign investors can make a return out of build to rent projects, why can't local authorities / central government just cut out the middle men (and dividends) and finance the projects themselves? The returns could fund services. Dunners has already replied on much of this but another aspect is ...

Re: Labour Watch

As I said, the plan (for now) is to do that too. But they also want to repeal Right to Buy first, which makes sense. I've never really had any objection to right to buy so long as another property is built in its place. Why should people literally pay for a property and then not get to own it? Ther...

They basically want me to pay for all these surveys though, which aint right. Prepared to get the roof tiles fixed, maybe the window. BTW roof tiles and a window are minor things - if they seriously want them fixed then my instinct is they’re just f*cking about trying to nip a few grand off. My hou...

Re: Job offer advice

Been through 3 rounds of interviews and have just been offered the job. Although the title is the same as my current role it’s a slight step up in responsibilities which obviously has its risks, however I think I can rise to the challenge. They’ve also offered me a decent increase on my current sal...

The Grand Tour: One For The Road Clarkson, Hammond and May go through the motions, with a drive across Zimbabwe. There's nothing new here (car modifications, crossing a body of water, pretending that they are fixing cars and not the mechanical crew once the cameras stop rolling, forced banter etc)....

As an on-off smoker, can't say I care either way. But surely there's other things to be focusing on? The leading cause of preventable death isn’t important? Of course it is - but if the government seriously wants to deal with the issue then do something more weighty than just banning it in certain ...

Thought this article dispelled some of the rising hysteria around this conviction https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c39k44n8j1mo Seems like a few flaws in a big pile of evidence and this is an investigation that was years long. Letby's only witness was a plumber. He maybe only a plumber, but his ...
