Re: How?

Broadly agree, but worth remembering that Brill joined as a goalkeeping coach, not a player.

Re: LOWFC - positive changes and demotion

Bit on this on the Price of Football podcast today. For information the women already had a development team playing at, I think, level 7.

Re: Shadrach Ogie

What’s happening with Sweeney? When I saw them play in the London Senior Cup, he was the left-back with Ohio in the centre. This might be just because Ogie’s more suited to playing in the middle, but doesn’t Sweeney still offer the sort of specialist LB cover as Oviedo was doing?

On the other hand, it implies he was guaranteed money to spend in January (although maybe with the condition that he got rid of a few).

Guy who did the interview reckons it’s on at 11.45. Just a couple of minutes, but a longer written piece to follow.

Re: George Marsh - yay or neigh?

Very promising, especially given I’ve heard he was good v Southend and Exeter. That was his third game in a week as well. As that’s the only men’s football he’s had since the season started, even the doubters should cut him some slack.

Talk of a European super League has been going since I was a child I'm now pushing 50 Me too, but since then we’ve had the Champions League and then the Europa League. Now we’re likely to get Europa League 2, so we’re a lot closer to it than we ever were and these hedges against it are showing sign...

Perhaps, although part of me thinks that a lot of the sentiment of that argument would have been employed by Victorians arguing against the introduction of the new-fangled fixed crossbar (1882).

Re: I can’t put myself through watching the highlights..so

The first one is interesting. Brill appeals strongly for something. I reckon he thinks the ball’s hit the arm of their player before it goes to the scorer. Under the new guidance this would automatically rule out the goal even if there was no intent. However, you’d probably need VAR to tell if it ha...

Didn’t know Dave, but knew who he was. I went to the first winding up hearing at the Old Bailey and of course he was there. The press wanted a photo with everyone holding up their scarves. He said, to no-one in particular, ‘better make sure I get it the right way up’. I was behind him and glanced up...

Watched the live stream as was out of the country. They seemed to think Clay had a knock. They also pointed out that we’re not playing part-timers any more. Teams we’re coming up against are fitter than they were last season. We didn't play against exclusively part time teams last season though - i...

Yes, but to be fair to Charlton they were always getting a point away and ended up getting three, so not much incentive to bring Bonne off the bench.

Really can’t see him starting Wilkinson and Harrorld if Angol is ill. Also a bit rough to put Wilkinson on the bench in favour of a player who signed yesterday, so reckon it will be Angol and Wilkinson, with Dennis starting if Angol is still ill.
