Re: Well Done the Under 18's
Surely it should be an internal discussion between the parents and officials of Whitehawk FC. I can’t imagine the club are flush with cash to cover a coach regardless. It’s a weird one to try and make an issue of on here. ‘Oooh look at me, I spoke to the away teams parents at the fa youth cup match...

So proper houses without any problems will be in greater demand and see their prices going through the roof? Nice.

Re: Well Done the Under 18's
Presumably a minibus would have been big enough, not a full on coach?
Do they not normally have to pay to get to away games then?

Re: Labour Watch
Vulnerable millionaire farmers? Whats China got to do with anything? Then you need to research farmers. Having land worth a million is fine. Having outbuildings and equipment worth thousands is fine. But unless the tax man will accept a tractor, a few cows or acres of land in payment then farmers n...

Re: Labour Watch
Oh wow, I didn’t know there was a specific scheme in place for that. Maybe someone should let the farmers know? Most of them won't need to know because they won't be caught by IHT and those that will can obviously "gift" the farm to offspring now and hope to survive 7 years and pay no IHT...

Re: Labour Watch
One thing I would point out, however, is that many of these family farmers will not be able to finance any IHT payments, as their revenue is too variable and margins too tight to access anything but loans with a punitive interest rate. So you’ve bought into the ‘poor farmers’ thing? 😃 Let’s say a £...

An interesting article. Less than 500 estates per year will be affected. Seems to me that today's protests are yet another example of the extremely rich getting the hoi poloi to do their dirty work BBC News - How many farms will be affected by Budget tax rises? https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c8r...

Re: Labour Watch
I wish someone would give me a small farm worth £3,000,000 for free…. Let’s be clear here - farmers are still getting massive IHT breaks. They only have to pay a rate of 20%, not 40% like everyone else. And it’s only payable on family estates worth more than three million pounds. Anyone whinging abo...

Re: Woke watch.
Not sure if this needs it's own thread, but can't help but feel Bentancur's 7 match ban is on the excessive side. Is a ban of that length 'woke' or just a sign that anything other than incredibly harsh repercussions will be taken as evidence that bodies like the FA aren't 'taking racism seriously'?...
