Re: Grass not always greener
Paul Smyths move made much more sense, although I’m not surprised he has struggled in the Championship. He hasn't really struggled, in spite of that VIth former's article. He's played 25 league games for them and the fans there seem to like him. It's a better season than the one he had with us in 2...

Re: Grass not always greener
It is properly mad to not understand that a move to a top flight club, with higher standards across the board and training alongside experienced top flight players, is a career move, not just a “take the money and retire” move. If he retires having never played another competitive match, have your ...

Grass not always greener
At the end of last season we lost two good players to bigger clubs: Lawrence Vigouroux, not played a minute of first team football this season. Paul Smyth not pulling up trees: https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/qpr-will-hope-to-emulate-leyton-orient-when-it-comes-to-paul-smyth/ Appreciate that both ...

In case anyone is unaware, I rate Hector, a lot. But £4m??? Peterborough wanted £6.5 million - He may well be worth that one day if he continues to develop but as good as he is I think they should have taken the £4million from Watford with both hands tbh. We would have got 20% sell on once the £300...

Re: Idris Saying Goodbye ?
No way i am spending 24 minutes watching this At last some sanity. If he goes he goes. When one door shuts another opens. Having pushed Gailbraith into midfield its increased our attacking options which we badly need from that area of the pitch. I don't dispute that Galbraith scored a few goals and...

Re: Snooker
I used to play Squash a lot, never watched it. You'ed have to try very hard to find it on the TV. Olympics and other major games. Also think it can be watched on dedicated sports channels Squash has never been in the Olympics, only the Commonwealth. That said it's due to make its debut LA 2028.

Re: Richie signs new 3 year deal
Hopefully the bed wetters can relax now. Dream on, when the next manager vacancy crops up, they'll be out in force again. If we have a few defeats in a row, you'll also get why on earth did we give him a three year contract. That's the way message boards work, sane people should stay clear, I just ...

Re: O's fans at Shrewsbury on 27th April
My simple & polte question to you is would you be happy for any of your female relatives inc children to sit at a game & listen to that? It amuses me that you're one of the boarders who has to be rude to others they disagree with. I wondered if you behaved like that in your life away from t...

Re: Released Players
As good as Galbraith, Obiero, and Brown might be, they are just young kids. Game against Shrewsbury changed markedly when Pratley left the field. I accept El Mizouni is also young, but he is advanced for his years and can handle himself. If El Mizouni doesn't return, we definitely need an experience...

Re: New Orient Manager?
Our owners appreciate Richie and I am sure they are doing the best they can to match his ambitions. However they don't have a bottomless pit of money to spend that other clubs can. However other clubs with bigger budgets have higher expectations, for example Barnsley make the playoffs and despite th...

Re: Released Players
Surprised Salford have released Matt Smith, scored 25 goals this season. A bit of a lump similar to Harry, who might not fit the RW run around and press style. That said RW sung his praises when we played them last season.

Ethan Light signed in January 2023 seen as long term development player, signed on 18 month contract by the clubs recruitment team. Yet another reason why RW alone should choose and have the final say on all incoming players . RW craves success and wants proven experienced players, not unproven you...

Re: Released Players
We will almost certainly be looking to bring in a quality full back as a replacement. I wouldn't expect Sweeney to play regularly next season if we are looking to progress, okay as occasional cover. Is Sweeney better than Hunt . ? Personally I don't think he is . He’s miles better going forward and...

Re: Released Players
Surprised they’ve released Hunt. He’s the sort of player they would have kept around the squad in years gone by and I probably would have kept him for the squad. Shows the club is serious about bringing better quality in. Also opens the door for Sweeney to be given more games We will almost certain...

Re: Released Players
I'm surprised to see Rob Hunt going . I thought he was a good player . Also I'm disappointed to see it looks like we're going to be stuck with Pigott for next season He is no where good enough if we want to challenge for promotion . He even had to be told by Ruel recently when to press during a gam...

Re: Released Players
Disappointed Rob Hunt has been released. Very decent pro who never let us down. I wish him well. Prepared to be shot down in flames, personally I thought Rob Hunt was the best of the three (James & Sweeney) at actually defending, but offered little going forwards. Always felt comfortable with H...

Been released by Wimbledon, obviously not as good as he thinks he is.
