Re: Israel

JVP isn’t the most coherent/logical group of people so not going to click on that. However, I generally agree with you from an ideology point of view. I’m not massively in favour of states built upon a particular religious ideology and would rather a democratic state with Jews, Arab Muslims and Ara...

Re: Shaq & Ruel

Shaq got another goal yesterday. A very good one so I hear. He has got a few goals and made enough of an impact to be involved. Ruel not so much so far it seems. that seems a fair summary to me. Shaq did get sent off for petulance though, and Ruel hasn't been rubbish, just not kicked on thus far

Re: Shaq Forde racially abused

it's not good. Not sure that we've a bigger problem than other clubs, but apparently there was something racist last week as well. Hmm... this sounded a bit like the 3 players who missed the penalties for England he's playing OK too, and we seem to be improving very very slowly. Hope it doesn't dest...

Re: Booking.com

Booking.com - absolutely excellent, although I only use them for hotel accommodation. The free cancellation option is fantastic. And the “Genius” promo can’t be matched by the actual hotel. Only ever issue, charged 3 times by hotel, they refunded immediately. Anything else Airbnb but only propertie...

He tends to drop off after getting a new contract though, that seems to be the Ruel with him
and that was thanks to a goalie howler. Has been middling overall, as per previous

Re: Please buy a striker with a bit of pedigree

Haven't seen where BR are playing Forde but one thing to remember he was brought in at Orient as a striker and wasn't much cop in that role. Moved out wide he was a lot more effective. Forde scored yesterday, and got rave reviews for his overall game. That is the first time though - he's been build...

Re: Please buy a striker with a bit of pedigree

Well Forde is not doing too great at Rovers either. Richie knew how to get the best out of Ruel and Forde but he is not getting a return in goals from Kelman as of yet, same does for O Neil and Dan A this season. Haven't seen where BR are playing Forde but one thing to remember he was brought in at...

Re: Shaq Forde

according to Transfermarkt, our net spend this summer is moderate (have seen it somewhere but can't find it now)

and we have the 3rd-lowest squad retention since last season in the Division - which is good news given that Joey Barton and his cronies recruited the previous squad

Re: Shaq Forde

Oh, and I see Sotiriou has scored . And lost 2-1 at Barnsley, again! almost gifted the goal by a goalie error. He's slowly livening up and getting more involved Forde came off the bench and looked a bit clumsy. Maybe trying to hard, maybe not yet match fit was a tight game. Tykes are good in attack...

Re: restaurant in Walthamstow - probably in the Village

many thanks for these - Uyghur would be a first for most of us I think (which is good, I hope), the tube carriage sounds good but looks like fine dining/set 6 course menu only, and the tapas and Turkish sound like decent shouts

The Goose, not so much I suspect

restaurant in Walthamstow - probably in the Village

got any recommendations please - for 2 Walthamstow old girls and their other halves who want to go back for a night out. Gritty authenticity not required, just somewhere nice and reasonably priced. Village looks nice so preferred but not a necessity Tripadvisor isn't much help, hence referring it to...

Re: Shaq Forde

I think the Birmingham comparison is silly but like Bristol, Peterborough and plenty of other normal clubs in this division, the club needs to be investing in these sorts of players, personally think this was looking a gift horse in the mouth, a 20 year old striker who scored nine goals out of posi...

Its going to be horrible playing against those two ooh, I do hope so Ruel has been getting up to speed. Technical Engineer honey money

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13760785/old-london-pub-startling-discovery-roof.html While ensuring the safety of the bees is paramount, the bees' presence does give the owners an extra money-making avenue. The bees have left behind a large amount of honey residue, which Jake hopes can be ...

Dunno about the Trades Hall tbf, love the venue but never thought of watching sport there. We've got tickets for High Hill Taproom, was about the only one with any left when I was looking yesterday morning. Everywhere that was doing walk-ins now seem not to be. Not that we ever reached finals in th...

noone seems at all sure how much money our owners have, or are willing to 'invest' i.e. lose. One family owns 55% and the other 45%, or thereabouts, and that has got to create some tensions at some point Sotiriou's signing seems to be very welcome. We have high hopes for him, and the one O I've spok...

I have read elsewhere that there is a further £35k payable to Jeremy Vine in damages, plus some additional legal costs I'm wondering if Eni Aluko, who I think is legally trained and very bright (judging from her appearance before the Parliamentary Select Committee, or something like that) will follo...
