It has an old football world charm to it. Hope it’s not altered too much.

Re: 8444 - Highest average attendance since 73-74 season
Whilst we’re on the topic of attendances, the amount of people who come to home games and watch about 20 minutes of football seems to be worse than ever recently. Turn up 10 mins after kick off, forcing everyone to get up whilst they spend 5 mins fumbling around looking for their seats. Leave 10 mi...

So far Simpson seems the same quality, and perhaps an upgrade, on Happe.Proposition Joe wrote: ↑Wed Apr 10, 2024 12:08 pm You think in the summer window we'd be able to improve on Happe, Hunt, Sweeney and Sotiriou?

Conceding too many late goals this season have been very costly.
Barnsley, Lincoln and Exeter. Probably others.

Tight 1-0 home win.

Not been to Stockport or Wrexham so hoping they don’t falter.
Unlikely but both QPR and Wall coming down would be lively.

An absolute choker. Especially as Brown had a good game. So unlucky.
Pigs made some very nice touches when he came on. Linked up the play well. Credit where credit is due.

Re: Annoucement at 10.00AM on Monday
Does it really matter if it’s on tickets sold? The club get the money regardless of if someone is there and availability of tickets is still low, regardless of if someone is there Commercially, I’d say yes. For arguments sake, if there are say 1000 ‘phantoms’ for any given match there is zero furth...

The demand is there https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GJsV_y0WoAAy_nv?format=jpg&name=medium We’d all love this to be true but as O’s attendances are on tickets sold it is nowhere near this percentage over the course of the season. As an example there were easily 2500+ seats not taken for the recent ...

I’m a huge baseball fan and the way almost all of it works is mental. Kent is luckily very self aware that what goes in the US doesn’t work here. He was very clear when he joined that he wanted to learn about football culture is here and to buy into that, not try to change it Exactly, and maximum r...

Re: Hearts friendly accommodation advice
Hi. I've lived in Edinburgh for about 16 years now so have a little local knowledge. You're right about not wanting to be on the Royal Mile so I'd suggest either somewhere in the New Town area (uphill walks to the City Centre or possibly the Newington area - lots of b and b's there. Have you conside...

I think it’s fine wearing replica kits on match day but if I see a 40+ geezer wearing one at a pub of an evening or out shopping etc then the eyebrows are raised.

Hearts friendly accommodation advice
Looking for some guidance please as I know there are some Scottish O’s on here. I’ve only visited Edinburgh as a child so have no geographical knowledge of the city. Going to book airbnb this week but looking for tips on where is good to stay but not on the Royal Mile. Ideally a decent neighbourhood...

Re: Moving house advice
Keep your existing mortgage if you can. If you do ever have to move it or increase it watch out for the thinly veiled threats of losing the property if you don’t use the estate agents in house broker (which is of course illegal, but it happens with alarming regularity).

Re: Its the hope that kills you
All part of the joy of being a footballer supporter. Regardless of final position it has been a most enjoyable season. It will be more of a ‘what could have been’ if it wasn’t for the horrendous injury list. But, it’s still possible for now and if by luck, skill or poor / fortuitous reffing Lincoln ...
