Re: Israel

You know what I mean. Iraq, saudi. Bless you believe that second part Genuinely not getting what is disputable in that. It is an armed conflict. It is taking place within a high-density populated area. And, in such situations, there is always going to be civilian collateral. Putting aside whether s...

Re: Israel

And, as has been pointed out above, it's not indiscriminate. It's an intense urban armed conflict within high-density populated areas. Civilian causalities are unavoidable in such a scenario. You should present your evidence to the UN and the Yanks and tell them to wind their necks in then. ^Here's...

Be interesting to see some of the reactions on here if a country like Iran was indiscriminately killing people instead of Israel In an indirect way, Iran is. And, as has been pointed out above, it's not indiscriminate. It's an intense urban armed conflict within high-density populated areas. Civili...

This was from page 13. Okay, we may be 58 pages over my prediction (give or take), but I reckon we’re almost there this time.

Yeah, but there's absolutely no risk.

Re: Labour Watch

It's in the bag. Isn’t that what Napoleon said just before the battle of Waterloo ? Yeah, but this time it's different, because there's just no way Labour can f*ck this up and the Tories somehow sneak a surprise win. In fact, I reckon I may just liquidate my crypto holdings and lump it all on the n...

Re: Births Deaths And Marriages

Susan Backlinie has died aged 77. She was the skinny dipper who got eaten at the start of Jaws. What a great film, Spielberg’s first foray into movies? It is like a Western transported to the ocean. Good on Capitalism vs Humanity. RIP Susan. He directed two films before that; the brilliant Duel and...

Re: Eurovision watch

BTW, personally, I think this year's controversy has added an extra layer of spice to the competition. I'd therfore like to see some of the other competitors do some war before next year's final.

Re: Eurovision watch

Yeah, that's fair. But then you could also argue that the absence of jury votes for the Israeli song was suss too. It definitely wasn't the best song, but it was in the top 6.

As I said, autocracy vs democracy.

Re: Eurovision watch

Okay. Initial summary.

Only a few dud acts, so decent value overall.

Winner has to be between Spain, Croatia and Ireland, IMO. But several others are credible contenders. Including (*muffles laughter) Israel. But music is the real winner her.
