Re: Farage
Farage is a skilled orator. He has applied his intellect to mapping peoples fears to match his own objectives. Even when their interests are completely misalligned. His ability to form and articulate clear arguments that connect with people has enabled him to influence UK politics more than any othe...

Re: Boris & the sick child
Agreed, slacker. The Westminster 'journalists' are trying to claim that their Tweets are more a stream of consciousness than actual reporting. But someone like Laura K has over 1million followers, which is more than what will read the front page of most newspapers. Hopefully she and Peston will feel...

Re: Mail order fraud
This reminds me of another story about a Ron who was definitely the victim of a scam:

Yep, Ron Hayward is definitely the victim there.

Thankfully, when I started attending games as a kid in the late 90s, hooliganism had all but disappeared.

Re: Joshua v ruiz
They both look wrong. Joshua has done too much weight for a plan to jab and move which he has never done before. Almost impossible to change you’re style in boxing. Ruiz is just enjoying being rich, has eaten too many cakes and has not trained. They said ruiz would come in lighter than the first fig...

Re: Grenfell Inquiry
Yep. And then factor in the impact of MHCLG Advice Note 14, other buildings coming into scope due to defects in fire stopping measures, timber framed construction, wooden balconies etc. Safety aside, hundreds of thousands are trapped in properties that are now unmortgageable (although most don't rea...

Two and a half years on since 72 people died due to systematic failures in privagised building control, deregulation (thanks to successful Tory ministers buckling to private builder lobbying), substandard construction, inadequate fire safety management, wrapping a residential building in flammable m...

I quite like they way we've enjoyed a strong and stable government, as opposed to the chaos we were told we'd experience had Labour been in power. Phew, dodged a bullet there.

There is, and it's one I tend to agree with. Although I do accept it was right for the government to intervene to prevent a systematic collapse.

Why should they be expected to use their own homes, and not help out in a shelter like you, instead of trying to win power so that they can do something that will make a real difference?

I admire Max for his ability to efficiently navigate the mean streets of scotchlandshire, and providing excellent value for his passengers, all whilst boarding. As for electric cars, I can see them becoming an ideal car-sharing option for city dwelllers, where private ownership makes less sense and...

The Tories inherited a sh*t of a position and needed to take drastic action. This is naff all to do with playing politics and eve...

Re: Think I’ll stick with a combustion engine
Electric vehicles help with city air pollution. But they create other problems elsewhere. There is no feasible environmentally sound solution unless we reduce consumption (car sharing may help here) or reduce the population.
