Re: Richie interview
He’s on very decent money and will struggle to get a club in League One. We might have to take a bit of a hit on this. Hope you’re all ready to buy lots of crap food in the ground next season to help cover it.

Re: Congratulations to
All I know about Braintree is from our visit there when it seemed pretty tinpot. Didn't they only bring about 20 fans for the reverse fixture, even though it was quite a big local game for them?

Re: Richie interview
Very publicly saying that Pigott isn't his kind of player is also a massive power move, given how much money JP is on. I agree. That’s very hard to come back from or claim misinterpreted comments. You would think he will certainly move over the summer. Also another criticism of the "process&qu...

Re: The end of football as we know it
Great news for people who love to applaud exaggerated attendance numbers. Imagine this flashing up on your screen at home... "today's audience is 342,911!" (186 people get up from their armchairs to applaud themselves)

Re: The end of football as we know it
Gonna be a poo poo show of random Friday/Sunday kick offs at 11am for a few thousand people to watch on sky sports. Gshaw will be pleased though... Not happy with Sky getting their claws back into EFL at all. My great hope was seeing the end of the 3pm blackout with Orient running their own domesti...

Re: Richie interview
Thanks for the summary, top work. Stockport and Mansfield have a lot more money than us? The 3 going up will all be ahead of us, as will the 3 going down, so not sure how our budget has dropped from top 10 to 14th. Maybe the purse strings have been tightened? Not listened to the podcast, but it cou...

Re: Idris Saying Goodbye ?
He’s a Championship standard player. He deserves a Championship level wage. Orient is probably the only League 1 club he might consider moving to, but in reality he should be looking at Championship clubs for his next move. I’m sure his agent agrees too. Not only is he a serious baller he comes acr...

Re: Idris Saying Goodbye ?
Is it possible to read that video as, rather than a farewell Orient, but to Ipswich, a please listen to this and let me leave Ipswich for Orient? Hard to see he has a future at Ipswich and the most he could hope for would be a season loan to a Championship side. this thread clearly demonstrates tha...

Time has changed my opinion on Blur. Used to think they were sh*t - looking back I've come to the conclusion they're were utter sh*t. Every time I hear Parklife I have an almost uncontrollable urge to do harm to Damon Albarn. Parklife is sh*t. The weird thing about blur is that they were essentiall...

Re: Richie Wellens Interview
Quite interesting that he's changed his tune a little bit in terms of our goals for next season (at least I can't remember him saying that next season might not be the one for us before). I dont mind it. Setting expectations lower than 'not getting in the playoffs will be a failure' is quite clever...

That was my first reaction too, but in both Wellens' interviews since the news broke, he's played that prospect (going for promotion next season) downPoundhillO wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 3:28 pm Great news , the club must have promised realistic increased budget for getting promoted next year and RW having a final say on who we sign.

Re: Ipswich Town...
Ipswich are looking to cash in, come what may. They tried moving him on in January, but no-one met their valuation. The chance of another loan deal anywhere is vanishingly small. It's marginally more likely they'd keep him if they don't go up, but even that is unlikely.

Re: New Orient Manager?
They all had bigger stadiums than ours, and two of them knew they would be moving to even larger ones fairly soon. Bournemouth’s average attendance in their first year in the Championship was 9,114 their promotion season to the Championship was 6,852. Luton’s last year in league one was 9,516. Thei...
