Re: Nicola Sturgeon to resign as Scotland's first minister
Well, they haven't fallen yet and I suspect that many Scots will continue to be too suspicious of Labour to consider voting for them again in large numbers

What about maybe giving out free Jelly Babies on a Friday? Admittedly, they ain't as good as they used to be ( they are just a blob that doesn't even look like a baby and are covered in white gunk) but it still might raise morale a bit

Wonder what it was that Cruyff witnessed? Eight years now since he "died". Would have thought the case would have come to court by now. Of course, with a cover up on this scale, we'll probably never hear about it. I imagine Cruyff will be living on a ranch in Wyoming or somewhere, trying t...

Re: Scoring from a corner.
Celtic's Charlie Tully scored direct from a corner kick against Falkirk in 1953. The ref disallowed the goal saying that the ball hadn't been fully in the corner flag arc. He re-took the corner and scored again

Re: Tory Watch
I think they will have gained a lot of new voters with the latest revelations regarding William Wragg. That only 3 Tory MP's were apparently moved to send nudey pics of themselves to strangers, suggests that the party is getting it's house in order. Not only that, Wragg himself has "courageousl...

I guess he's referring to the bit about the gunmen wandering casually around for an hour, killing at will with no sense of urgency in a country where police/ FSB are virtually everywhere

Re: 40 dead in Moscow attack
Vladimir Putin has told the Russian people that Ukraine is linked to the Crocus City Hall terror attack on Friday night that killed at least 133 people. In a video address lasting five-and-a-half minutes, the newly relected Russian president said Russian security forces believed they had apprehende...

I think the youngest one has a striking resemblance to his great uncle Andy when he was that age. Admittedly, Andy would probably have considered Waity to be a bit of a granny, but you never knowProposition Joe wrote: ↑Mon Mar 11, 2024 10:31 am Also, why is no-one mentioning that the two boys look like Nigel Farage? That will be one miserable and bitter group. If it's laughter you're after, you should check out our Marxist splinter group The Saltire Orient Popular Front. Long trips to Exeter etc are whiled away by quoting to each other the best lines from the great man himself. Such as "Like my nose? I pi...

Tinnitus is a bugger. I get a sort of high pitched screech in my left ear which annoys me particularly when in bed. My old mum used to hear an orchestra playing in her ears which drove her round the bend, so hope I never get that form of tinnitus

Had my eyes lasered about 20 years ago. My long vision is still perfect but, as I was advised at the time, my near vision would gradually decline due to muscle wastage at the back of the eye or something. I see that Dagenham are at home that day. Might go to see them against Oldham, assuming neither team have a international in the squad for Andorra under 18's or something that day
