Quality player, but undoubtedly a jinx (as Bayern Munich discovered this season) England will need to drop him if they wish to win anything

Do you think BBC News will have cameras at about a dozen English pubs watching fans jumping up and down when they score? Fabulous stuff which never grows old

He's got an Irish granny apparently. Don't know if the international football authorities still don't bother checking whether this actually true or not

Back in the glory days of the 70's, the away kit was blue and yellow. Looked great. Would be considered too gaudy nowadays I suppose where black or grey seems to be the in thing

I'm just going to turn up at 3 o'clock to watch the game. I doubt they'll be re-enacting the Battle of the Somme during the match or anything like that

Lib Dems seem like nice enough people but a waste of a vote as will never win in my constituency. SNP some real dodgy characters am...

Re: VAR could be scrapped.

As VAR was intended to rectify clear and obvious errors, I'd impose a 20 second rule. If VAR can't decide if someone is offside or not in that time, then it obviously isn't clear and obvious. It's the waiting around for 2 or 3 minutes while pictures are forensically analysed that is killing the game
