Re: Israel
2005 was a good year. Any coincidence that this was the year that YouTube was launched and everybody was watching cats falling off chairs instead of killing each other?

Re: HS2
Who are the people who need to get to Birmingham more quickly, and for what reason? I'm being serious when I ask what the perceived boost to the economy is by cutting travel time by a few minutes. Surely business people don't actually travel to meetings in this day and age, or if they do, not by tra...

Re: It's coming home (2028)
It's been confirmed that the UK and Ireland bid is the only bid left in contention for Euro 2028 after Turkey has withdrawn. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67003581 It will be interesting to have all home nations automatically qualify so we get to bet on who gets knocked out first. And we all know wh...

Perhaps they could say "Que es la respuesta?" just to shake things up a bit

Arise Sir Moggy! Fabulous. Apart from sucking up tirelessly to Bodge when he was PM, not sure what this is for. Although, the names of his children have given me much amusement over the years

Meanwhile, UKs first midget sized Prime Minister bags a £5M profit for supplying equipment to Russia. https://x.com/bongosaloon/status/1706785667060228119?s=20 Those little suits and shirts and tiny little shoes have to be specially made for him and they don't come cheap. You can't blame the man fo...

The whales have been climbing up the wind turbines and jumping off the top, just for a laugh. Unfortunately, some have mistimed their jumps and been mutilated by the blades. If Trumpo can put an end to these dangerous high-jinks, he would get my vote

Potential banning offence detected. Use of the word Holibobs. Eugh. What? Or are you just jealous 😂🙈 Are they having a laugh e.g ban the word ''Holibobs'' whatever next ban the word ''Chris-tmas'' ? Oliver Cromwell tried that as well, didnt work though ! People who use the term Holibobs probably re...

Sounds great, but I fear that after a few high profile nonces have been unmasked, they'll start scraping the barrel for Z-listers that no one has heard of, as has happened in Strictly, Masterchef etc

Re: Dog watch
I do admire wolves but do not approve of them being in captivity. If they did this voluntary of course and went home to the woods at night, then sounds good

Re: Dog watch
I'd be nicer to humans if they didn't have dogs. Unfortunately, in my village practically everyone has at least one, and it is very fashionable to have two or even three nowadays

Re: Dog watch
The group you describe are of course a huge part of the problem, but there are also huge numbers of "ordinary" people who think it is acceptable to have their large dogs running off the lead in areas where children are playing and out in the countryside. Last year, my wife and I had a frig...

Although, if a wolf ever did attack a human here, I can just imagine the hysteria. But if its a dog, most people seem to think its a price worth paying as dogs are lovely

Re: Dog watch
Horrific stuff. How many more people need to die or be badly injured before this country gets serious about eradicating these vicious brutes? You can just tell by looking at a dog if it's the kind of thing you wouldn't want to come face to face with off a lead. I don't know why we have to get so hun...

Re: Dog watch
Anyone who has a blanket dislike of dogs should be on a Government watchlist but do agree with some of the comments, particularly regarding dog mess being left (absolutely infuriating) and off lead dogs not being trained. The number of times one charges over and winds one of ours up and the owner s...

Re: Dog watch
I've had second thoughts. In my 5 year career as a paperboy, and 20 years as a DWP visiting officer, I've been growled at, barked at, lunged at ( thankfully only bitten 4 times) by practically every breed of dog that I can think of. Apart from a cocker spaniel. They will get a height exemption
